NCYF Is Looking For New Board Members

In these challenging times, are you looking to give back to your community and aid in helping those
individuals most in need? Do you feel the call to put your talent guiding other leaders to good use? If
you are a strong strategic thinker, with an acumen for small non-profit organizations operating in the
human service arena, our agency may be exactly what you are looking for; you could be part of
something meaningful, and most of all, essential to the guiding the growth of our organization in its mission to
provide high quality trauma-informed care to the individuals we serve.

The Northeast Center for Youth & Families, Inc., a nonprofit agency based in Easthampton, MA, is looking for
individuals of varying backgrounds and talents to join our board of directors. For over 40 years, our volunteer
board has provided guidance to its leaders regarding growth and stabilization of the agency, ensuring that we
deliver high quality care to the individuals we serve while responding appropriately to changes in our community,
and looking for new ways we can help our consumers live more meaningful lives.

We are looking for board members to provide foresight, oversight, and insight. Our Board members are the
fiduciaries who steer the organization towards a sustainable future by adopting sound, ethical, and legal governance
and financial management policies, as well as by making sure NCYF has the resources to advance its mission.
If you are a conscientious and committed individual who is willing to volunteer your time by attending
approximately six board meetings per year (currently all meetings are virtual,) please call or e-mail our Executive
Director, Meredith Lagoy, at 413-529-7311 or meredith.lagoy@ncyf.org to find out whether this volunteer
opportunity is right for you.
